I think there should be a separate board for guide dog users or prospective users to post to. Isee a lot of topics in the Animal House board, but it would be nice to have a board strictly for Guide Dogs.
I think that is a good idea, I was looking for something in that board the other day, but the first about 10 topics had to do with guide dogs, now, I do plan on getting one, but I still say that it should have it's own board.
Hm. I agree myself. What do other people think? Any board title suggestions?

hm, "Service dog" nation for a start as a title
I say service dog, because someone might not have a guide dog, but some other type of service dog, but still be blind, so,
maybe that would be a bit better?

I think it is a good idea too, but maybe instead of "Service Dog" in the title it could be "Service Animal", since there are other animals besides dogs that can work with a disabled person, such as guide horses, monkeys, and other/smaller animals. It is probably less common to see such other animals, but I figured since we were including service dogs, we should also include ones that are not dogs.
I really don't think it's necissary. I mean, I might want a separate category for different types of broadcasting, different types of jokes, etc, but then everyone would want sub categories for every little nuck and cranny of society. If we do end up doing this though, how about "guiding bitches and bastards" for a title? LOL
oops, sorry, I forgot about the other animals. I appologize, but that would work. I could honestly see this happening.
The reason I specifically think there should be a separate guide dog board is because guide dogs are such a big part of the blind culture. It's not necessarily meant to separate everything else. I would personally just like to read about guide dog stuff if I need a question answered, not having to scroll past topics about Mister Ed and my pet cat topics.

I don't see the need for a seperate category for this.
It would still be a part of the Animal Hous Board, just a separate section of that board. An example would be the way Save Haven has a Religion Topics board.

SunShineAndRain, you took the words right out of my mouth. As I was reading this board, I too was getting ready to write in that it could be like the religion category on the Safe Haven board, and you beat me to it. I personally think it's a good idea. I go to the Animal House board looking for new posts, and everything is about guide dogs. I have no idea what a good title for that board would be. I know it's the Admin and CL's decision, and as of now the CL's don't like the idea, but I thought I'd throw in my oar.
Well? Admins? What's the deal. Do you think there should be a separate board for Guide Dog topics, or not?
